Jerry's Significant Number
S e v e n

Jerry was born on November 30, 1970... (Doc had predicted expected due date of October 27th.) He weighed 9 lb. 3 oz. (=147 oz.) On that day, brother Jim was 3 years, 11 months, 24 days old (= 47 months)... brother Randy was 2 years, 7 months, 4 days old. Dad was age 25 years, 3 months, 7 days. It was 3 months, 27 days after Pappy had died. Jerry was at the hospital 7 days with Mom; both returned home on December 7th.

Jerry was killed on Saturday, (7th day of the week), July 4th, (7th month of the year), 1998. His physical life-span ended at 27 years, 7 months, 4 days; equal to 10,071 days; equal to 241,704 hours; equal to 87,013,440 seconds. The car crash occurred calculated 37 minutes from Jerry's apartment, two-tenths mile west of I-64 exit #47, 80' south of mile post #47. He’d been 'gone' 507 minutes when Mom was told at 12:22p.m. ...they'd last hugged 'see ya later' on that Friday evening, near 7:pm.

He died 7 weeks, 6 days before Mom’s and nephew Seth’s birthday. Pappy had been ‘gone’ 27years, 9 months, 1 day. PaPa Jack was 77 years old.

U.S.M.C. burial rites were given by a 7-man Honor Guard on the 7th day of the 7th month of the year, at Historic Virginia’s Chapel ~ built in 1853, 117 years before his birth. He was buried in a family plot purchased by Pappy 27 years, 2 months, 27 days before Jerry's birth. He was placed beside Great-Uncle Bobby, who had died at 7 years of age.

Jerry's memorial book contains 347 signatures of those attending his memorial services... 47 tributes of flowers... followed by 27 cards and letters to Mom. Funeral was 47 days before Dad’s birthday.

It was on July 7th, four years prior, that Mom moved from the old home place and never returned. Ironically, Jerry went there during pre-dawn hours, only 2 short hours before his death. The house had since been dismantled and the big shade tree under which he'd played as a child and polished his car as a teen, had been cut down. He slowly walked perimeter of his childhood home and, remembering days of yon, he paused to sit in grassy spot where his room used to be. He’d last slept there 5 years, 6 months, 27 days ago. (June 7th, 1993, second night after brother Jim’s wedding.)

Parent’s divorce was finalized on November 30, 1977... it was Jerry's 7th birthday. He was 27 years old when told the specific date.

He wrote ‘What’s Done Is Done’ December 1987, three weeks after his 17th birthday.

On October 27th, 1987 Jerry set the National Power-lifting ‘Bench-press’ Record in Drug-Free Competition at age 16. (314 lb. = 142.5 kilo) On March 6, 1988, at age 17, he went on to claim the World Power-lifting ‘Squat’ Record with a 501.5 lb. lift. (227.5 kilo.) If those records have since been broken, he was never notified.

Jerry signed lease for his new apartment on June 17, 1998 ~ 17 days before his death. It was the 7th place he'd called "home" since leaving Mom's for the military.

He attended (brother) Jim’s wedding at age 22 years, 5 months, 7 days old... Attended (brother) Randall’s wedding 207 days prior to his 27th birthday... Became ‘Uncle Jerry’ on May 7th, 1994 (Shane’s birthday)... Was age 22 years, 7 days when he attended the funeral of his favorite "Uncle Jimmie".

Because throughout his life time, pivotal experiences and decisions were so consistently associated with this significant number, might we thus conclude that Jerry’s present seven is "Seventh Heaven" ???

I'm curious to learn of Jerry's additional sevens, if any...
I encourage you to add more.
...Tell Mom...

He had been ‘fatherless’ (parent’s divorce) long 11 years, 9 months, 27 days when he left home on September 27, 1989, to report to U.S.M.C. Boot Camp at Camp LeJuene, N.C. ~ age 18 years, 9 months, 27 days... During his time in the military, he received 7 Military Awards/Commendations.
