"And what is more important than
knowledge?" asked the mind.
"Caring, and seeing with the heart,"
answered the soul.
Truth will always be truth,
regardless of unawareness, or disbelief, or lack of understanding.
Very few human beings receive
the truth,
complete and staggering, by instant illumination.
Most
acquire it on a small scale, fragment by fragment,
by successive
developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.
One who forces time is
pushed back by time;
one who yields to time finds time on her side.
Every tomorrow has two handles ~
You can take hold of it with the handle of anxiety
or the handle of
faith.
Attitude is either your best friend or your worst enemy,
your
greatest asset or your greatest liability.
[Fear is called the little death
~ it kills in tiny pieces!]
"No pessimist ever discovered
the secret of the stars,
or sailed to an uncharted land,
or opened a
new doorway for the human spirit."
-
Helen Keller -
Miracles happen only to those who believe in them.
UNFOLDING THE
ROSEBUD
It is
only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the
petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding
flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so
sweetly,
When in my hands they fade and die.
If I cannot unfold a
rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I think I have
wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in Him for His
leading
Each moment of every day.
I will look to him for His
guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way.
The pathway that lies before
me,
Only my Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the
moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.
They who are near me do not know that
you are nearer to me than they are...
Those who speak to me do not know that
my heart is full with your unspoken words...
Those who crowd in my path do not
know that I am walking alone with you...
They who love me do not know that
their love brings you to my heart...

when lines chase themselves
across the plains of
your face...
I will love you still.
When old age has slipped past
us
and memories of long ago
seem more real than our future...
still, I
will love you.
When you taste of death's icy-blast,
when it's
relentless pull
will not let you go,
I will press your lips to
mine,
give you this life's last breath,
and embrace you beyond the letting
go...
and then, yes...
I will love you still.
A New
Strength
There are times in every life
when we feel hurt or
alone...
But I believe that these times
when we feel lost
and all
around us seems
to be falling apart
are really bridges of growth.
We
struggle and try to recapture
the security of what was,
but almost in
spite of ourselves...
we emerge on the other side
with a new
understanding,
a new awareness
a new strength.
It is almost as
though
we must go through the pain
and the struggle
in order to
grow
and reach new heights.
